Travel Cribbage Peg Track — Captive Slide-In Pegs, 1 to 6 Players
A **travel cribbage score track** that fits in a pocket — with scoring
pegs that **can never fall out**. Each player gets one peg riding a
hidden **T-channel**: the peg's foot is wider than the top slot, so once
it is on the track it only slides `0 → 10`, it can't be lifted off or
lost. A kinematic **ball-detent** clicks the peg into every score
station — a rounded ridge under the foot nests into a little 45° Vee
groove at each number — so the peg advances with a firm push and
**self-centres exactly on each number**, no slop.
**Bundled in every player count, 1 to 6** — one lane and one peg per
player. Pick the file for your table.
**Print-in-place did not survive the real printer** (the captive peg
fused to the channel), so this is the reliable redesign: everything
prints as **separate, clean parts**, then you assemble in seconds —
1. Print the body, the peg(s), and the end cap.
2. **Slide** each peg into the open end of its lane, onto the track.
3. **Snap** the end cap over the open end — the pegs are now captive.
Nothing to lose, and every part prints flat, deck-up, **supportless**.
- `..._2color.stl` — the housing. Two named solids: the **body** and the
flush **number inlays**. In Bambu Studio: *Import → right-click →
Split to Parts*. For a **two-colour** track assign a second filament to
the `numbers` solid; for a **single-colour** track just delete the
`numbers` solid and the digits stay as clean **engravings**.
- `..._peg1.stl`, `..._peg2.stl`, … — the sliding score pegs, **one STL per
player** so you can print each peg in its own colour. All pegs are the same
shape; the count matches the player count.
- `..._cap.stl` — the slide-in end wall that encloses the pegs.
- PLA or PETG, 0.2 mm layers, 3+ walls
- All parts flat on the bed, **no supports, no brim**
- Print the pegs in a contrasting colour so each player's is easy to read
**Parametric** — the whole thing is one OpenSCAD file (attached). Tune
the score range, station pitch, lane spacing, peg size, and every
detent / slide clearance, and re-export any player count you like.
A full illustrated **exploded view + step-by-step assembly guide** ships
in the bundled `ASSEMBLY.md`.
