Blokus puzzle game
The original game was invented and mass produced by Mattel Games. I was unable to find the original to buy myself so I remodelled it from a few pieces I had. It might be a bit more expensive than buying it from a store but it is cooler to 3D print it.
The rules are simple:
There are four players and each has 22 block pieces of the same colour. Players they take turns placing them on the game board. Each block must touch another block of the same colour but they can only connect at their corners. The aim of the game is to strategically place as many pieces on the board as possible. The game ends when no more pieces can be placed on the board and the player with the fewest remaining pieces wins.
How to 3D print:
At first print every out of 4 parts of Blokus_base 3D model. I used a white colour because the original is also white. Then you have to assemble it using an inbuilt puzzle joints. I used hammer to carefully joint all parts because it was quite tight. Then you have to print all 22 parts of Blokus_pieces 3D model in 4 colours each. You should end up with total 88 pieces. I choose blue, orange, green and turquoise. It might be quite difficult to post process all pieces because there is a lot of overhangs. I recommend using little supports to make overhangs look better but printing and post processing will take more time.
I have not tested the compatibility with original game but it should be compatible since I used almost the same dimensions. You might also use it as a replacement for lost pieces of the original game. As I said I am not the original creator of the game, I just remodelled it and optimised it for 3D printing.
