Some heroes become dragons. Some ascend into immortal demigods. Mordecai, however, won the cosmic lottery and evolved into... a Canadian tourist.
Standing like he just wandered out of an all-inclusive resort somewhere south of Cancún, Level 9 Mordecai is the physical embodiment of "Sorry, eh?" delivered with absolute confidence. He wears a maple leaf somewhere on every visible article of clothing—not because he has to, but because otherwise people might mistake him for an American, and he'd rather fight another floor boss than let that happen.
His outfit screams vacation so loudly that nearby monsters instinctively ask if he's here on a cruise. A sun-faded Hawaiian shirt, cargo shorts with enough pockets to inventory an entire dungeon, calf-high athletic socks pulled proudly into sandals, mirrored sunglasses, and a trucker hat complete the look. Somewhere on his person is an enormous cup of coffee that never seems to get cold.
His greatest weapon isn't magic.
It isn't brute strength.
It's relentless friendliness.
Need directions? He knows them.
Need sunscreen? He has SPF 70.
Need someone to apologize because you accidentally stepped on his foot? He's already apologized twice.
Enemies expecting a terrifying dungeon veteran instead encounter a cheerful mountain of polite confidence who somehow looks ready to discuss fishing, hockey, campground recommendations, and the proper way to cook poutine while effortlessly dismantling everything trying to kill him.
He radiates the unmistakable energy of a man who has said, "Beautiful day, isn't it?" during a blizzard.
If a moose ever needed legal representation, a camping partner, or someone to hold its beer, this is the guy it'd call.
