Designer's Description

This insert is designed to have 1.5cm of lid lift. But everything at the top lays completely flat.
This insert was designed using the Beast 2.0 Edition box, which is slightly taller than the first printing box. It will still fit in the 1.0 Box, at the same total height, with more lid lift (see last pictures).

THIS INSERT HOLDS:
Beast – Core Game
Beast – Shattered Isles
Beast – The Great Hunt
Beast – The Lost Contracts - Spiral Notebook
All Acrylics (Standees AND Tokens)
Sleeves (Shattered Isles 2.0 Sleeves, which are thicker than the 1.0 sleeves)
2 Screens of your choice (I’d recommend the informational ones)
Metal Grudge Coins (I bought an extra batch, so it actually fits 2x sets of Metal Grudge coins)

This Insert DOES NOT Hold:
Beast – Ashfall (Not out at the time of designing)
Beast – Hollow Pact Character Pack (Not out at the time of designing)
All but 2 of the Screens of your choice

This insert is Shake-Proof.
This insert will work for Vertical Storage.
This insert has all standees lying flat, unlikely to scratch against anything.
This insert has room for the spiral bound notebooks to not scratch up against the boards or other components. It should be obvious but pay attention to which direction the spirals are pointing (Bottom book spiral by the bottom of the box, top spiral in the middle of the box. Positioning the low end of the Feather Trail token box so the Spiral has a place to go).
Everything is printed one time, except the Token Box, which is notated in the name (3x_Box_Tokens, print out 3 times.)
I put the Great Hunt Influence tokens at the very bottom because they’ll be used the least often. There’s room down there if you want to keep any extra cardboard chits.
The two Dry-Erase markers go in the slot created by the Standee Hunters and Standee Summons pieces (under the Spiral of the Notebook).

In the Card Holders, there’s a section for “Promo / Extra.” If you decide to use the promo Hunt cards, put the extra Hunt cards in this section, as you should not have both at the same time.

I printed everything with a 4.0 nozzle at 10% infill with 2 wall and ceiling layers (my printer isn’t well calibrated and prints the best at these parameters). At these parameters, everything (including the game components, the box, the insert) weighs about 12lbs.

Extra Q&A
“Will it fit this specific brand of Sleeves.” I don’t know. There’s a bit of wiggle room but the Hunters and Hunter Items sections are pretty tight. If you’re not using Dragon Shields you’ll probably be fine.
“Will you redesign it when Ashfall comes out?” Maybe. I don’t think there’s a new map? If there’s not, the new Cardboard will probably come out to 12mm more Lid Lift? There’s enough space to move a few things around but.. there is so much freaking cardboard…
“Will this fit non-acrylics?” I think? But if you don’t have acrylics, use Jon W’s insert on BGG:
https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/3699334/3d-insert-for-retail-base-game-20-and-both-expansi
It fits everything (Except I think the lost contracts book?) with no lid lift.
“Why did you do it this way? It seems like there’s some extra space here and there.” Basically the way I wanted to lay the Standees, they needed their own layer. That layer+Cardboard+Spiral books didn’t leave much negotiation for avoiding lid-lift. If you turn the player boards sideways, there might be some rearranging that could happen, but it was too tight of a fit in my opinion. Thus the lid lift.

Everything should be straight forward but let me know if you have any questions!
