Mage Knight Ultimate Edition Lid Support
Print Profile 1h 48m 64 g PLA
Plate Details (1)
A quick extra I printed up to go with KDSBest's excellent Mage Knight UE Insert to help keep everything in place. A well-cut piece of foam, as suggested, would be a better option but I didn't have any foam within easy reach. What I did have was filament and a printer…
I used the clear plastic divider from the original box insert, placed the manuals in the recess and then chucked in this wedge. It doesn't support the whole lid, so don't go stacking stuff on top of the box, but it does at least allow the closed lid to apply enough pressure that all your tokens won't spill everywhere if you store the box on its side or take it to a gaming session.
The height of the model fits nicely for me, based on the the support column sitting on top of the manuals, day/night board and fame board.
I printed with basic PLA using 7% sparse infill density using gyroid pattern. Seems more than sufficient for the task, and you could probably drop the infill down to 5% and save a few grams.
The other trays you can see on top there in the picture are DKS2's player dashboard , which I highly recommend.
