There are spaces to hold all of the base tiles, the starting tile, expansion tiles, movement tokens, and wooden boats.

All of this pieces fit flush in the box with the rules so that you can store the game vertically or horizontally without the pieces moving. There is also some room left in the box to fit additional expansions or pieces in the box.
