Designer's Description
Overview

This is an organizer for the retail version of "Senjutsu: Battle for Japan" board game. It fits all game contents (base game + 6 expansions) into the base game box.

Keep in mind that with this organizer the box has quite significant lid lift: ~3.4cm. In addition to that, I store the solo scenario book separately. Storing it in the box would increase lid lift even further.

Organizer consists of the following parts:

  • Card trays
  • Token box
  • Miniature storage; !!! assembly required, additional parts needed (see below) !!!
Technical Information

Organizer was designed with FreeCAD. Source files are included if you want to make modifications.

I printed at 0.2 layer height, mostly without supports (I will note where supports are necessary).

Card Trays

Brim is required otherwise corners will peel off.

Print:
  • 2x “CardTray - Small”
  • 1x “CardTray - Big”
  • 4x "CardTray - Divider"
Note

Dividers didn't work out as well as I've hoped because they can drop out of their slots. I needed to play with clearances/tolerances more but didn't want to spend time and plastic on that. In any case, dividers do their job reasonably well.

Card Separators

You can use these paper labels to better organize your card trays.

Print it on A4 sheets

Token Box
Print:
  • 1x "TokenBox - Base"
  • 1x “TokenBox - Lid"
Miniature Storage ( !!! Assembly Required !!! )
How does it work
  • You put your miniatures into slots on the base
  • Then you put the “lock” on which keeps miniatures from falling out
  • Finally, you put the lid on

Locks and lids are using magnets to keep everything secure.

Parts Needed:
  • Superglue
  • 32x Neodymium magnets (5x2 mm)
Print:
  • 1x "CharacterStorage - Base"
  • 1x "CharacterStorage - Lid"
  • 1x "TerrainStorage - Base"
  • 1x "TerrainStorage - Lid"
  • 3x "StraightLock"
  • 1x “CurvedLock” ! Use supports !
Assembly

All you need to do is glue magnets.

IMPORTANT : tripple check that you a glueing magnets in the correct orientation. One mistake here may ruin the whole part.

Photos are showing where magnets must be glued.

There are 2 lids with 4 legs each = 8 magnets total.

Each lock needs 2 magnets = 8 magnets total.

Each base needs 4 magnets on the edges to stick with the lid = 8 magnets total.

Make sure you gluing them just like shown on the photo!

Each base needs 4 magnets on the bottom to stick with the locks = 8 magnets total
