A complete, space-saving storage solution for Quarriors! – designed to fit inside the original metal tin!
Tired of searching through bags of dice and loose cards every time you want to play Quarriors!?
This custom-designed 5-level modular organizer keeps everything neatly arranged, easily accessible, and securely stored inside the original square metal tin.
The entire organizer has been physically printed, assembled, and tested . All components fit together, and the complete system fits inside the original game box.
No glue, screws, or permanent modifications to the original tin are required.
5-Level Modular Tower
Five stackable levels create a compact, organized storage system. Each level can be accessed individually, while a central locking mechanism keeps the entire tower securely connected.
Storage for All 130 Game Dice
- 75 creature and spell dice, stored in 15 removable trays holding 5 dice each.
- 32 white Quiddity dice in a dedicated tray.
- 18 brown Assistant dice in a dedicated tray.
- 5 black Portal dice in a dedicated tray.
18 Removable Dice Trays
All dice are organized in separate trays, making setup and cleanup much easier. The trays feature small grip areas for convenient removal.
Dedicated Card Storage
The top level includes a central compartment for all 53 game cards, without unnecessary dividers.
Four Player-Marker Compartments
Four dedicated corner compartments keep the small player-marker dice securely in place.
Optional Player Boards
An additional set of four compact player boards can be printed and stacked neatly on top of the organizer.
Secure Central Locking System
A removable central pole connects all five levels. A retaining clip secures the pole at the bottom, while a sliding locking rod holds the tower together at the top.
The locking rod features a tapered insertion tip and improved fingernail grips for easier removal.
Optional Pull Loop for Easy Unlocking
The locking rod also features a small hole in its head. Simply thread a thin, strong cord or ribbon through the hole and tie it into a small loop.
This creates a convenient pull tab, making the locking rod even easier to remove without tools. The soft loop can be tucked away inside the tin when not in use.
No modifications or additional 3D-printed parts are required.
Practical Carrying Handles
Integrated grip arches on the top level allow the assembled organizer to be carefully lifted out of the tin.
Designed for the Original Metal Tin
The organizer preserves the compact form factor of the original game packaging.
- Organizer footprint: approximately 126 × 126 mm
- Tower height: approximately 106 mm , excluding optional player boards
- Height with four stacked player boards: approximately 118 mm
- Original tin's measured internal dimensions: approximately 131 × 131 × 130 mm
- Recommended nozzle: 0.4 mm
Important: This organizer was designed for the original square Quarriors! metal tin. Other editions, expansions, and packaging versions may have different dimensions or component quantities. Please measure your box before printing.
Version 1 – Complete Organizer with Player Boards
Includes the top level with four corner guides and four matching player boards.
Recommended if you want the complete storage and player-board solution.
Version 2 – Organizer without Player Boards
Includes an alternative top level without the raised player-board guides.
Recommended if you prefer a simpler and more compact setup.
Only print the top-level version matching your selected print profile.
The project was prepared for a Bambu Lab X2D with a 0.4 mm nozzle. Other FDM printers can also be used if the required dimensions and tolerances are supported.

Support recommendations:
- Dice trays and player boards: generally no supports required.
- Locking rod and retaining clip: print without supports.
- Main tower levels: check the underside of the stacking connections and apply local supports only where necessary.
- Central pole: check the wider foot and locking-hole areas for unsupported overhangs.
PETG is recommended for the locking components because of its toughness and resistance to repeated mechanical use.
Do not scale the parts. The stacking connections and locking mechanism rely on accurate dimensions. Use the prepared print profiles as your starting point.
Assembly is straightforward and does not require glue or screws.
Take Level 1, the bottom section of the organizer.
Insert the central pole through the dedicated opening from underneath, positioning its widened base in the recessed mounting area.
Attach the small retaining clip to secure the pole.
Make sure the pole is properly seated before continuing.
Fill the 15 small removable trays with the corresponding creature and spell dice.
Each tray holds five dice.
Place five filled trays into each of the first three levels.
Carefully slide Level 2 over the central pole and lower it onto Level 1.
Align the outer tongue-and-groove connections.
Repeat the process with Level 3.
The connections are designed to keep the stacked levels aligned.
Fill the three larger trays:
- White tray: 32 Quiddity dice
- Brown tray: 18 Assistant dice
- Yellow tray: 5 Portal dice
Place the trays into their designated positions in Level 4.
Slide Level 4 onto the central pole and stack it onto Level 3.
Place Level 5 onto the tower and align it with the central pole and the lower stacking connection.
The top section provides storage for all 53 cards and the four small player-marker dice.
Make sure the top level sits completely and evenly on Level 4.
Insert the tapered end of the locking rod through the designated side opening in Level 5 and into the matching hole in the central pole.
Gently press the top level downward if necessary to align the holes.
Push the locking rod into its final position without excessive force.
The entire tower is now connected.
To unlock: Use the fingernail grip edges on the locking rod's head to carefully pull it out.
Optional – Make Removal Even Easier with a Pull Loop:
For an even more convenient unlocking mechanism, thread a thin, durable cord or ribbon through the small hole in the locking rod's head.
Tie both ends together to create a short pull loop.
Now you can simply grab the loop and gently pull the locking rod straight out of its opening.
A soft cord approximately 0.8–1 mm thick works well as a starting point. Keep the loop short enough to fit comfortably inside the metal tin, and position the knot so it does not interfere with inserting the locking rod.
This simple optional upgrade makes the locking mechanism easier to use without changing or reprinting any parts.
If you selected Version 1, stack the four printed player boards on top of Level 5.
The four corner guides keep them aligned.
Carefully lower the assembled organizer into the original metal box.
Arrange the remaining original game accessories, such as bags, rules, and the scoring board, in the available space above the organizer as appropriate.
Before lifting the loaded tower by its integrated handles, always check that the locking mechanism is fully engaged and the assembly is secure.
The goal was to create more than a simple storage insert.
This organizer combines compact storage, modular access, removable dice trays, secure locking, and easy game setup in one system – while retaining the original metal packaging.
The individual levels can be taken apart when needed, and the dice remain sorted between game sessions.
The finished organizer has been tested with the actual Quarriors! game components and original tin.
If you print this organizer, I would love to see your results!
