Keep The Heroes Out - Modulare Hero Chest - No AMS

My wife and I love the game “Keep the heroes out”.

Since the game comes only with paper chests/tokens I decided to make one myself.

The ones available didn't fit my needs - I wanted it to be like a real chest opening while beeing practical at the same time.

Also I wanted to include the original tokens to have the whole print, printable without any AMS or MMS.

Instead of 3D-printing complex icons or painting them, this chest features a custom-fit inlay for the original cardboard tokens from your game.

I tried to be pretty close to the original design on the papertokens - The numbers are on top though - to be able to see it from any angle while playing.

The assembly is pretty straight forward and needs a little or no glue at all. (Watch the gifs in the pictures to see the whole assembly.

I only used a few drops of glue to connect the base with the red rim forever.

One thing to keep in mind while assembling the chests - be careful when connecting the base to the lid - this needs some force and the little studs can easily break when you put force to it from ans angle. Out of 16 chests - this happend to me once. - Thats the reason why I placed to extra red brims to the printprofile - delete them if you are confident

Once they are togehter - they are save and wont break unless you really force them ;)

I am always happy for contructive feedback.

My wife and I love this game. Thanks for this gem @brueh. To make it even prettier I wanted to replace the original paper chest tokens with real chests. They include the original token and are fully modular - no AMS needed. They open like real chests and add some nice detail to the game. Maybe someone finds this useful. It's totally FREE - all you need is a 3D-Printer of some kind. I've spent quite some time to design and testprint and so on. If you want to see more stuff like this - any support on Makerworld is very much appreciated 🫶🏼
