This is a new print profile that works best with the new dividers / lifters I have designed. The two walls with the cutout are simply thinner to accommodate the lifters.

V2 Update • Adjusted base tolerance so inner boxes are easier to remove while remaining securely held. • Added thumb cutouts to the inner boxes for easier access to cards and dividers.

Took the logo and duplicated it to the top, so it can print on the 1st layer, saving some time and filament. Nothing else was changed. In fact, I left the side logo (not colored) in, in case you put something on top. I took this from the V3 profile, so be sure to use the models from that print profile.

Designer's Description

For the newly announced Main 3 , see my Triple storage version: https://makerworld.com/en/models/3008409-compile-triple-storage-system#profileId-3378448

This storage system was designed with a specific goal in mind: store both versions of Compile (Main 1 and Main 2) together in a single, compact container , while still supporting all AUX expansions , sleeved cards , and dividers .

The system consists of:

  • Two removable inner boxes (one per game)
  • A shared outer base
  • An angled lid for easy access and a clean visual break

Both inner boxes are sized to comfortably hold sleeved cards , dividers, and expansion content. The design has been tested with Dragon Shield sleeves and both AUX expansions installed at the same time.

Compatible Modular Drafting Trays

I also designed a matching modular protocol drafting tray system that integrates with this storage solution.
It includes individual trays for each protocol plus a dedicated draft hub tray for setup and gameplay flow.

You can find it here:
https://makerworld.com/models/2451393?appSharePlatform=copy

The trays are designed specifically to fit inside this storage box and make drafting and cleanup much smoother.

They are the one shown in the pictures.

Fit Philosophy (Important)

The base is intentionally tighter than the lid .
This is by design: the tighter base securely retains the two inner boxes so they don’t shift during storage or transport, while the lid is slightly looser to allow easy removal without binding . This is not a tolerance error.

The inner boxes themselves are designed for smooth insertion and removal while remaining properly aligned once seated.

Versions Included
🔹 Single-Color Version
  • Indented logo
  • Ideal for single-color printing or minimal filament waste
🔹 AMS Multi-Color Version
  • Flush logo integrated into the lid
  • Optimized for AMS printing
Recommended Print Settings (General)
  • Layer height: 0.20 mm
  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm
  • Supports: Not required
  • Plates: One plate per component, clearly labeled (choose one lid version AMS or no AMS)
Inner Boxes – PLA Silk Recommendations

The inner boxes were tuned specifically for PLA Silk , prioritizing surface quality and minimizing vertical banding.

Recommended settings:

  • Nozzle temperature: 225–235 °C
  • Cooling fan: ~40%
  • Outer wall speed: 40–45 mm/s
  • Walls: 5 wall loops (~2.0 mm)
  • Reduced outer wall acceleration (≈2500–3000 mm/s²)
  • Infill: Lightning (preferred) or Gyroid at ~6%

Lightning infill minimizes internal pressure on the walls and helps reduce visible banding. Since the inner boxes only support the lid and card weight, dense infill is unnecessary.

AMS Flushing / Purge Guidance

To reduce filament waste while maintaining clean color transitions on the AMS version, the following flushing volumes were used successfully:

  • Black → White: ~150
  • White → Black: ~120

These values balance clean logo edges with reasonable purge volumes. If minor color bleed is observed, increasing priming volume slightly is recommended before increasing flush values.

Final Notes
  • Tolerances are intentional — please avoid scaling unless required for your specific filament
  • Per-object settings are included as guidance when opening the project in Bambu Studio
  • Feedback is always welcome!
