Terraforming Mars Insert for all Expansions

This is my first insert. I was inspired by this design , however it did not fit my needs so I decided to create a new one from scratch. In addition I was interested to learn how this can be done. The design might not be perfect. It is my first 3d print project and I used some different approaches to learn how to design them in CAD software (magnets, sliding lids). Maybe I come back later to add a revised version when I learned more but so far I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

From most to least important:

• it should fit “everything” (*) from all expansions I own (which is all existing to date)
• Hellas & Elysium
• Venus Next
• Prelude
• Prelude 2
• Colonies
• Turmoil
• Milestones & Awards
• sleeved cards should fit
• I'm using the custom TM sleeves from kickstarter (see here )
• materials for each player in its own box and the color should be recognizable
• sometimes I use the player cubes in other games if I need some additional markers there
• supports easy setup
• vertical storage should work

There are 3 print profiles. For some reason the pause command in the original file ([P1]) was lost somehow, therefore a new one was added ([P2]). Apart from the pause command nothing should be changed. In addition I added a profile for a player box which don't need magnets ([P3]). Just print whatever you prefer.

• Plate 6 (PlayerBoxes) and Plate 9 (PlayerBoxesLids) pauses the print to add magnets (2x4mm)
• I glued them in place with a drop of super glue and waited 1 minute until it is dry
• pay attention on the polarization. I marked the sides with a pen before, just to be sure to have the correct orientation
• → it is still a bit fiddly. You can switch to P3 if you prefer a version without magnets
• Plate 3 (PlayerIcons) is missing one color (red). I'm new here but to my knowledge my A1 with AMS light only supports 4 colors. So just change it in an additional print run.
• I glued them in place with super glue
• this is optional. You can skip this if you don't need the colored icons

• replaces Plate 6 and 3 from [P1]/[P2]
• I did not add the player icon here (possible to add it later if someone wants to have it). I guess it is easier to just print the whole box in the player color
• I used the same closing mechanism successfully for other designs. Because this box is a small one the mechanism is a bit stiff for the first couple openings, but it gets better. Personally I prefer and use the version with the magnets

• I do not have all promo cards. I'm not sure how many are out there but there is still a bit room for some cards, maybe my insert fits all of them but I can't be sure
• I'm using the official dual layer boards
• I'm using the colony overlay tile from Thingiverse

The box it not big enough to store everything but it is pretty close. Obvious things which are not supported by this design:

• Automa
• additional maps like Utopia

In addition I store additional things in the Automa expansion box because I don't need them. If you accept a small lid lift it might also fit:

• Beginner Corporations
• Overview cards
• Venus Board
• Colony explanation board ("Trade Fleet Tile")
• Turmoil boards

I don't need them because I have all 7 maps as neoprene maps which already include the expansion boards. If I need to bring the game to friends I can decide to remove the standard map and add venus/turmoil boards instead.
