Ruination + Expansions Board Game Insert
I created this insert to make setup a bit easier and consolidate the Blood Sworn and The World That Was expansions into the base box.
Each horde / faction is stored in a bin which has space for the horde cards, chieftain tactics cards, and tokens. Exiles are divided between two bins (IMHO it makes finding a particular figure easier - I keep all the sculpts with an animal / mount in one bin). The horde bins are a bit of a tight squeeze, I find myself putting the minis back 1-by-1 or just putting a few in with the exiles. The exile and horde bins have a grip detail on the side to help pinch-and-lift two bins at a time out of the box.
All storage areas allow for sleeved cards (I tested with Ryker sleeves which are 110 microns thick due to the textured back). If you're worried about the chieftain cards being in with the horde minis you can easily store them in another area.
Card storage assumes a person wants to have the base game and Blood Sworn cards separate (based on some comments I saw on the BGG forum). Card areas are labeled. I'm happy to make an alternative set of card organizers if there's interest.
The starting bonus and nomad tokens have some optional trays that can be used as a “lid” over them to secure them for vertical box storage. I figured this would allow some folks to skip those components to save a little filament (and other people might like having a few extra trays at the table). These are the “opt-tray” STLs.
The narrow dice and token trays span the width of the box and prevent the board from sliding around. The dice tray is shorter and allows the battle board to overlap.
I've used a number of free board game insert designs provided here, so I'm making mine free as well. However, If you'd like to support my efforts, you can support my weird music meanderings here: https://echovocation.bandcamp.com/album/mutable-vol-1
Happy gaming!
