Designer's Description

Dune battle wheel

Battle wheel for Dune (2019) by Gale Force Nine. This epic game is great as is, but the battle wheels were never my favorite. Inspired by what I saw on Boardgamegeek, I redesigned the battle wheel with a few advantages.

Half slider

Better visualization of half units with the half slider. Slide it in or out depending on if you use half units in your battle

Spice dial

Spice dial for advanced combat. We always play with the advanced combat and it is really annoying holding the amount of spice you need in your hand. So i made an additional wheel, where you can set the amount of spice you use in combat with no hassle.

Better artwork

Dune isn't the prettiest game, especially the sand/grey battle wheels. I wanted them to pop a little more, so I used the cover art on the spice dials as well and it turned out amazing!

Printing

In included 2 print profiles. One with one build plate and another one with multiple build plates. Use the one with multiple build plates if you want to save on filament changes (it's 20 vs 40 filament changes).

The top wheel is printed upside down on the Smooth PEI Plate I have. This makes the worm look really good and the support for the leader indent is fairly easy to remove. I don't know how this will look on the standard textured plate.

Boost Me I had a lot of fun designing this, especially the worm artwork. But these projects need a lot of test prints and filament, so I appreciate a boost!

Assembly

The assembly is straight forward, but it is difficult to separate the pins after the battle wheel is assembled.
