Inserts for Rallyman Dirt

A set of inserts for the boardgame “Rallyman: Dirt”. This allowed me to put all the components as shown in the picture (including all the expansions coming in the kickstarter).

I printed this on PLA, almost everything with 0.2 mm layers. The models (STEP files) include:

• a holder for the tokens (almost all of them… not the small soft tire tokens or the large ones for the jumps/water/chicane). You can fit 30 tokens in each (and it works best when it is all full). I printed 21 of these and only had about 5 tokens left out. The model has many “parts” in case you want to customize the length to hold more or less tokens.
• Card holders of different “height”. The holders slide on each other so you can stack them safely for storage. You can load the cards sideways if you push them into one side first. You can print:
• 2x9 mm for gear 1 and 2
• 3x12 mm for gear 3, 4 and 6
• 2x14 mm for gear 5 and 5 classic
• 1x4 mm for the 00 cards (for solo play)
• an organizer box for all the tire cards. Printed with 0.25 mm layers. I must add this is a bit too tight for all the cards… but I found no better way of fitting it. 12 slots for these card groups:

• R5 classic (the smallest slot on one end)
• a box with lid to hold all 24 dice
• a box with lid to hold all 18 car models. It has enough room to hold the 18 small soft-tire tokens if you wish. The box fits neatly on top of the tire cards.

For both boxes with lid:

• Box and lid included in a single file (be sure to separate both objects for printing)
• have to be assembled carefully with the lid pointing up to prevent braking the hinge (the pin is wider on the flat side to keep it in place when moving)
• Apply the force on the pin with your nail, close to the hinge, when assembling. If you hold the lid and try to push it in place it will most certainly break

You can see the arrangement in the picture but, just in case, to put everything I placed:

• Unlimited boards flat in one corner. 4xx hex tiles stack flat on top in a corner.
• 2xx and 3xx+filler hex tiles stacks in the other two corners. In between these I stacked the cards for gears 1 to 6.
• The tire cards on the last corner (next to the short side of the unlimited boards), and the car box on top.
• The bridge and dice box in between the tire cards and the 4xx hex tiles stack.
• All the token holders (vertically) filling the rest of the space.
• The core damage tokens in their bag in the leftover space between the tokens. Keeps everything from shuffling too much.
• The assembled joker pieces on the spaces around the hex tiles
• The manuals/rules top it all

The inserts are not absolutely necessary for the game and it was possible for me to fit it all placing the tokens in bags… but this made the setup so much easier for me and enjoy more gaming time with less setup ;) (I separated the tokens depending on the expansion so I can easily pick what to include).
