Wall mounted dropper bottle paint rack

I am always looking for an excuse to learn CAD with practical designs. There are several versions of wall mounted paint storage already but I wanted to try to make my own.

The paint rack in the photos:

• 590mm x 54mm x 230mm (LxWxH)
• 634g PLA (Anycubic white)
• 156 dropper bottles
• Bambu Lab P1S total print time 38hrs (or 40mm/s print time 193 hrs)

backstops and shelf on top by grindy2608 - Thingiverse I liked the shelf and hidden mounting points.

My specification:

• compatible with dropper bottle paints and their various bottle cap designs.
• maximize build plate (256 x 256)
• minimize space needed for bottle storage
• possible x or y axis expansion (pieces can seamlessly fit together)
• provide resources for others to make customized rack shapes
• shelf on top (with raised edges to prevent things falling off)
• efficient material use
• easy to print
• no supports
• able to lift the whole rack off the wall without the paints falling out.
• tubes long enough to have backwards bottles.
• tubes short enough to access shorter dropper bottles I use for Citadel paints

Notes when making your own paint rack.

• 42 cell racks will fill 220 x 220 build plate
• 64 cell racks will fill 256 x 256 build plate
• Wall thickness for the single cell model is .4mm. I recommend thickening the outer wall of the finished paint rack to .8mm (same thickness as the interior walls of the paint rack.)
