Recommended Print Settings: • Layer height: 0.12–0.16 mm (use a slightly higher first layer for a smoother bottom surface) • Wall thickness: 2–3 perimeters for strength • Infill: 50–100% depending on sturdiness; 100% recommended for inserts and heavy items • Supports: Not required – designed for support-free FDM printing • Print orientation: Lid flat on the bed for best fit; boxes can be printed upright or on their side • Filament: PLA or PETG; transparent filament works well for lids to view contents Tips: • Print inserts with 100% infill for stability and easy handling of tiny components • Slightly tighter tolerances may help lids fit better depending on filament shrinkage • A slightly thicker first layer improves bottom surface smoothness when printing at 0.12 mm

BUY:
  • ## Any spring around 20 mm long and 7–9 mm in diameter will work for this design. I personally prefer the 1.2 mm thread resistance on the lid—it provides a satisfying snap and ensures it stays securely closed. I’ve also tried 0.8 mm threads , which still hold the lid shut, but the closing doesn’t have the same tactile snap.
