Designer's Description

In my search for printable board games I came across several versions of Hive.
All versions were just not what I wanted the game to be and it had to be printable on my Mini+ anyway
That's why I made a version myself.

Hive is an addictive 2 player board game. It is a tactics game in which, just like in chess, the different pieces have certain movement options.
The goal is to trap the queen bee so she can't go anywhere.
Anyone from 9 years old can play it and the rules of the game are not difficult.

Both players play the game with their own color.
So for both players a separate set of game pieces must be printed in a different color than the opponent.
Each set consists of
1 x Queen bee
1 x Ladybug
1 x Pill Bug
1 x Mosquito
2 x Spider
2 x Beetle
3 x Ant
3 x Grasshopper

The rules of Hive can be downloaded here in different languages. https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2069908/hive-pdf-rulebook-links-all-official-translations

The bottom of the storage box is 18 cm long and can therefore easily be printed on the Prusa Mini+.
The lid is larger so that it can only be printed diagonally on its side with support (see photo).

Everything can be printed with PLA filament.
0.2mm layer thickness
10% Infill
The cut-out of the incects are 1 mm deep
I printed the game pieces myself in multiple colors.
First color change at 8.20 and second color change at 10.20 height.
