Print Instructions Printer: Bambu Lab A1 (any printer with at least 151 × 246 mm build area) Nozzle: 0.4 mm Material: PLA (Bambu PLA Matte or PLA Basic) Build plate: Textured PEI Layer height: 0.20 mm Walls: 2 wall loops (the 2.4 mm walls are filled solid automatically) Top / bottom: 5 / 3 layers Infill: Gyroid 10 % Supports: none Brim: Auto Total: approx. 27 h 30 min, approx. 1.0 kg of filament Colours • Suggested and already set in the 3MF: • Player trays in the four player colours: white, orange, black, olive • Pars grids matching the boards: Servorum: brown / bronze, Plebeius: grey / silver, Patricius: gold / yellow All other trays in one neutral colour (cream #F7E6DE). • The engravings print in the same colour. Light and shadow make them easy to read. Tips • Orientation: All STLs already lie correctly on the bed with the open side up. Don't rotate them, and no supports are needed. • Surface: A slower speed for top surfaces (60 mm/s) and for the outer wall (150 mm/s) gives clean engravings. Both are set in the 3MF. • "Precise Z height" is enabled. Heights such as 20.8 mm or 34.8 mm come out exactly, so the stacked trays sit flat on each other. • Pars grids: They are only 5.4 mm tall. The grid ribs are wide enough, and gyroid 10 % is sufficient. For extra stiff grids you can use 3 wall loops. • Other slicers: The STLs work in any slicer. Just use the values from the summary. On printers with less than 246 mm build area the three Pars grids won't fit. All other parts fit within 151 × 163 mm. • Test print: If you're unsure whether your components fit, print the flat Castra tray first. If the troop markers fit, the rest will too.

Designer's Description

Corduba – Layered Insert / Organizer

A complete insert for the board game Corduba. Every component has its own removable tray. The trays are grouped the way the game is played: what goes on the table together during setup is stored together. All compartments are labelled with the Latin terms used in the game.

The game board and the rulebooks still go on top of the insert, and the lid closes.

Highlights

  • A place for everything. 22 trays and grids hold all the components. There are no filler pieces without a purpose.
  • Grids for the Pars boards. Each of the three Pars boards (Servorum, Plebeius, Patricius) gets a grid that keeps its 17 building tiles in their game positions.
  • You simply place the grid on the board. Windows keep the board's icons visible.
  • Tilt openings let you lift every tile out with one finger.
  • Setup takes seconds.
  • Trays for the Omnibus board. Castra, offerings and unrest come in handy shapes and go straight onto the Omnibus board.
  • Player trays. There are four identical trays, ideally printed in the four player colours. Each has compartments for Insulae, Senat and Periti/Signa.
  • Card trays with stepped pockets. Large cards sit above the small ones. Half-round finger notches make the cards easy to take out.
  • Engraved labels in small caps (Stoke typeface). The engraving is 0.6 mm deep and prints in a single colour.
  • Design language: rounded corners, scooped floors (components slide out easily) and finger notches.
  • Stable stacking. The open trays have 2.4 mm outer walls and 1.6 mm dividers, so stacked trays don't slip into each other. The flat trays of the top layer rest on three cross ribs.
  • Everything fits a Bambu Lab A1 (256 × 256 mm). The largest part is 151 × 245 mm.

Dimensions

  • Insert: 291 × 291 × 66 mm
  • Room on top: game board (22 mm) and rulebooks / paper (7 mm), in the box with 89 mm inner height.

Notes

Player tray and worker tray are one STL each and get printed several times. You need the player tray 4× and the worker tray 2×. The 3MF already contains all copies. Clearance: Each tray is 0.25 mm smaller per side than its slot. If your printer over-extrudes a lot, test-print a small tray first. Not an official product: This is a fan project, not affiliated with the publisher. Corduba and all game terms belong to their respective owners. Font: The engraving typeface Stoke is licensed under the SIL Open Font License.
