Modular Shut the Box Game - V2
V2 Update- tolerances adjusted, a bit larger, and the 4-player version lines up nicely to create a box.
I kept both files in case someone was interested in the smaller option. Assembling V1 isn't the best. You'll need a 5/64 drill bit to hand-widen the holes for the filament strip. It wasn't too bad.
This modular approach allows you to print 1, 2 & 4 player shut the box. The 4-player version provides a dice tray-esque enclosure.
Print Directions:
1 Player - Shut the Box Main, 1-10 tiles
2 Player - 2x Shut the Box Main, 2x 1-10 tiles, and 2x Connectors
4 Player - 4x Shut the Box Main, 4x 1-10 tiles, and 4x Connectors
The tiles are held in place with a piece of 1.75mm filament. I filleted the end point to allow users to melt/seal filament after stringing on the tiles.
Take your time stringing tiles. The spacers will likely be printed vertically so these are the weakest points of the model prior to tile stringing.
Official Rules: How to Play – ShutTheBoxGame
My daughter is heading into kindergarten, so we just add the 2d6 together or put down corresponding tiles for the time being.
