Meadow Boardgame card pick up aid
This is a player aid. Meadow is a gorgeous and great game and I strongly recommend to have a look if you like light family style set collection games, but it is also a bit brainy if you want.
One important bit in the game, is to pick up cards from a player board and this is actually a bit tricky (especially if you do not have long finger nails) and it even might damage the cards in the long run, when you pick them up. Therefore I developed a picking up frame that makes the game much easier to play. Moreover the frames helps to keep cards in a in the grid arrangement. As an optional add-on you can see in the photo how I used small magnets (8 strong rare earth magnets I had lying around) to make sure the frame does not move on the player board. I did not want to use any other mechanism to avoid damaging the beautiful board.
The frame is split into 4 pieces to allow printing on smaller printers.
You need to print all the 4 frames (fp1-4.stl and 4 linker.stl)
If you have a larger print bed (23 X 33 cm) you can use the single frame stl.
Assembling/dis-ambling the frame is straight forward.
Printed on an Ultimaker Original with standard setting (Layer height 0.2, nozzle 0.4 and no support is needed). You may need to rotate the frames to have no overhang.
Here is a short video how it is used: https://youtu.be/zr1pKEdof5I
