Designer's Description

This is an insert for Horror on the Orient Express, a cooperative deduction game in which you race against time to figure out who the cultists are while fending off demons and evil magic. There is a ton of stuff to set up for each game, but because of how each “area” is structured I was able to keep like-with-like components together in their own setup trays.

This insert includes space for:
Core game

Investigators Unveiled expansion

New Monstrosities expansion

Crowdfunding exclusives

Taste of Luxury upgrade box

Fortune Tokens upgrade box

Sleeved cards - from the campaign (Paladin)

It will house the 2 investigators found in the campaign box, but no other campaign box contents (insert for that is pending!).

There is a moderate amount of lift ~35mm, however the way everything is structured there is no danger to the components if stacking other games on top. With how much overall space is saved, I was okay with lift as it still fits easily within a kallax cube.

Each setup tray contains its particular components. Grab the tray, remove any board on top, and all contents should be easy to find within. Please see the labeled pictures for help on where to put things.

The Ritual tray has spots for vertical token display as I found myself constantly having to count each token for the strength of the ritual.

The Events tray has pre-separated areas for in-bag, discard, and additional event tokens.

The Vampire tray houses one set of bite tokens and vampire actions, as the only difference (between vampiress and vampire v2) is the graphic, and you won't use more than 1 vampire board at a time. In the top left of the tray is an area to hold the action tokens in-game while keeping the current vampire on top of the tray.

I personally found the Taste of Luxuries box to be mostly frivolous with the exception of the portal tokens. As I won't be using the minis, I decided to relegate them to a dump box that can be set aside quickly.

You'll only need 1 type of each color monster, so they remain in the bottom with the investigators, and each investigator box contains components for both player-use as well as their suspect tile. There is enough room in the activity slots for 8 tiles - I split mine with basic in one slot, upgrades and special abilities in the other.

Stable with a fully loaded trove chest on top!

Let me know what you think! I plan to create a separate insert for the campaign box in the near future.
