Designer's Description

Replacement Insert for the the board game Black Forest, by Tido Lorenz and Uwe Rosenberg.

This is one of my highly anticipated games of 2024. I received it and began working on an insert right away. The basic cardboard insert is alright at separating the big boards from the rest of things, but I wanted to improve on setup time and add some trays for use during gameplay.

You can follow my journey of creating this insert on my BGG post here: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/3383593/received-the-game-on-monday-started-working-on-an

Goals of the insert, as always:
- Support sleeved cards! (This one was really easy for this game. I can't quite say why...)
- Vertical Storage
- Quicker game setup
- Useful trays during gameplay
- Dual-layer effect for the building boards

Important: You will need to keep 5 punchboard sheets to pad the bottom of your game box. If anyone threw these out but wants to use this insert (or just don't like padding with cardboard), I've included an optional spacer to pad the bottom of the box with. Four will need to be printed.

You will need 1x of everything except for those files that say otherwise. Eg. x4 - print four of it. Ensure the Small Building Tray Holder is printed vertically.

Follow the included images as a setup guide on how to arrange everything. I've included pictures of the insert in the box and in action, as always. I've also included exported renders of the insert images at each layer. The LEFT/RIGHT descriptor of some pieces is from the perspective represented by the rendered images. The photos are from a different angle.
A few pieces have gone through additional design change since I printed off my set and took photos. There is no difference to the box arrangement except for the player trays that just need to be rotated 180 deg compared to the photo. If you follow the lines intended for the building boards, they give hint to orientation preferences.

Note: With the building tiles no longer being a shuffle-able stack, one may ask how best to randomize the 10 buildings that need to go to the B side. You can use any method desired, including pasting the following code snippet into your browser console.

```
(() => {
let array = [...[...Array(36)].keys()];
let m = array.length, t, i;
// While there remain elements to shuffle…
while (m) {
// Pick a remaining element…
i = Math.floor(Math.random() * m--);
// And swap it with the current element.
t = array[m];
array[m] = array[i];
array[i] = t;
}
return array.slice(0, 10).map(x => x+1).sort((a, b) => a-b);;
})()
```
