Miniatures Paint Brush Cleaning Pot - watertight

VERSIONS:

  • standard version (print profile 1)
  • version with no brush holders at the bottom backside (print profile 2)

Watertight!

The model has been tested multiple times using PLA to ensure its water tightness.

While the inner part that holds the water is thicker, the outer part of the cup is thinner and in between these 2 is an empty space to save material cost and make the print not be too heavy while staying watertight.

Print Profile

The print profile uses 100% infill and a “Concentric” infill pattern and many wall loops to ensure the most amount of sealed layers to contain the water safely. I printed multiple versions of this model and came up with this print profile in the end.

No tipping over!

The wider base makes the cup more stable and secure to prevent tipping over. Also, the weight of the print feels really nice and is not too heavy or too light and with its weight itself also makes the print be more stable.

Brush holders

The 3 brush holders in the back are all angled towards the inside so that the water and paint from a brush would drip right down into the cup itself and not onto your table! Additionally, a brush can be laid on top of the cup sideways.

Remove the paint

To clean the brush of paint and water, there are multiple different patterns the brush can be dragged over.

At the bottom, the walls on the sides and on top halfway around.

The tip of the brush

To keep the tip of the brush pointy and smooth, drag it upwards along one of the 3 lanes on the inside.
