Update 1: I added an optional plate, which has the left wheel with the #9 embossed. This is also added to the downloads section. I'm still learning how Maker World works best, so I've uploaded the same print profile, but on separate plates for each of the main components; Bodies, and each color wheel. I'm including a plate with all three wheels as well. This probably makes most sense if you are going to print several counters, assuming you want different colors on the wheels.

This is not exactly a D&D counter, but rather, a generic counter 0 - 99999. Just for fun! The third plate prints all parts, whereas plate 1 prints the body, and plate 2 prints the 5 wheels.

Designer's Description

This is a fairly simple, straight forward HP counter. Everything prints without supports. The numbers can optionally be inset with a different color, which are best glued in place with super glue. The frame has three options, one with an embossed pointer, one with an inset (which is what I printed here), and one with separate parts for color printing.

Updates
  • 2026-06-08 : I added two parametric (F3D) files here, for the bolt and the frame. If you want something other than 3 or 5 wheels (e.g. 4 …), use this. You will have to create one for each of them, I could not figure out how to have two objects cleanly on the same F3D here. You will need to print at least a left and a right wheel, as well as an appropriate number of middle wheels. You will also have to “split” the frame object, to get the two objects for the markers.
  • 2025-01-13 : I added two files for a frame and bolt capable of holding 5 wheels. When printing this, just print 2x each of the left and right wheels, and one of the middle wheel.
  • 2024-02-19: Added an optional left wheel, with the #9 embossed. Both the plain and colored wheel now has this option.
  • 2023-12-20 : I added the 3MF and .step files for the colored number wheels.
Printing and assembly

The colored versions (for printing on printers with multiple colors), there's no assembly.

Nothing special here, everything prints flat. Make sure that you place the wheels with the flat side down of course. If you are doing the insets for the numeric wheels, I noticed that the number 8 tends to print a little worse because of the bridging. Before gluing in the number 8, trim the bridges in the wheel. I only noticed this issue for 8.

I noticed that the uploaded STL files aren't oriented the way they should be printed. I'll fix this later, but the .3mf has all the models properly loaded and oriented.

The text model and the pointers are optional, and only needed if you are planning on doing the insets.
