The Isle of Cats: Explore & Draw Insert

I wanted a box insert for The Isle of Cats: Explore and Draw game, and since none were available yet I decided to learn how to design my own.

My insert will accommodate sleeved cards, the sleeves I use measure 65mm X 90mm outside.

The Cats deck gets split into half (57 cards each with the kickstarter promos), and 2 of the corresponding trays are needed.

The Solo and Lesson decks share the same tray which is slightly taller and uses the full depth of the box bottom. The Solo deck will go at the bottom of the tray and then the Divider will go on top with the Lesson deck on top of it. The Divider is meant to make it easier to grab the Lesson deck out of the tray without having to take the Solo cards out or separate the decks. The cards will sit flush with the top but the Boat sheets and Rulebook will sit on top and hopefully keep everything in place.

The Pen Tray is designed with 4 sections, each holding a full set of 6 colored pens. The pens seem to fit best if you alternate direction of the caps when putting them in the slots, they slant towards the non cap end if you put them all the same direction, but if you alternate them they sit flatter.

Vesh's Boat has it's own tray.

There is a Filler block which can be printed with low % infill to reduce weight and it just takes up space in the box to keep everything locked in place.

The Lesson sheets will sit on top of the Cats trays and the Kickstarter Promo Rules 'Card' and The Round Tracker card go in the Cats trays as there is extra room.

As of 3-26-22: all pieces fit in the box and the cards fit nicely in the trays, I have redesigned the Solo \ Lessons trays and divider to be thinner so that the cards don't come out the top as easily. Also reduced the pen try by 1mm in both directions and reduced the width of the dividers to fit a little better.
