Reiner Knizia's Iliad Tile Protector

The cardboard tiles for Reiner Knizia's excellent board game Iliad , like any cardboard tiles, show signs of wear and separation after a few plays. These are simple protectors to help prevent that while adding a little ‘premium’ feel. The outer wall is 1mm thick so the tiles still fit on the board just fine.

Simply print 18 in red and 18 in blue, and press the tiles into the protectors. The hole on the back makes removal easy (if you need to) and also allows the faction icon to be seen.

Of course, you can also scale these to fit any game with square tiles! You may want to print one just to test your tolerances/material shrinkage and adjust X+Y accordingly.
