Blackout: Hong Kong insert
Insert for Blackout: Hong Kong.
I used the player holders from: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3729538 and took inspiration for the resource wheel from: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4725846
I complemented these design with a different deck holder, two trays for the tokens and a different wheel design so that it can be fixed to the side of the board and is broken up in three pieces.
All card holders are for sleeved cards.
I printed a second scout-tray-lid to fill in the leftover space and keep all the elements from moving in the box.

This isn't a bad insert...but it isn't a great one either. The wheel overlay, which was the part I was most interested in, fits on the board well, but requires support in the clip area that is a nightmare to remove (even with support filament that doesn't bond). The scout tokens container is split into four trays...when you shuffle all scout tokens together in a bag at the beginning of the game and draw them out to put them on the board. There's no reason for the separation, and that filament could have been saved. The player piece boxes could be used as dispensers during the game, but the point tracking token slot is tight to the point that you might need to invert the box to get it out...possibly scattering all the other pieces. Finally my purple first player cylinder was wider than the provided slot. Even with some light sanding I wasn't able to get it to quite fit, and honestly I'd be worried about getting it out if it DID fit. So yes, it works, but it's far, far from perfect. A tip in case you do print this: to make it fit properly I had to tear the two "wings" off the cardboard insert to make the side walls flat...but they're perforated so that was no big deal.
