Maximum Apocalypse Box Organizer (Legendary Edition, Wasted Wilds)
also fits Maximum Apocalypse: Legendary Edition (2020)
also fits Maximum Apocalypse: Wasted Wilds (2023)
This game comes with well thought out organization already. Benefits of using crates include the ability to take them out of the box for easier access. Also, it's less likely that the cards slide and fall, which seems to happen to me all the time with a long row of cards.
Note: Read through all of this first. You _may_ want to reduce the height of the crates by 1mm if you want to combine everything in the _Legendary Edition_ box. If you do, please report back about how that worked out.
- Box organiser for _Maximum Apocalypse._ Works for _Legendary Edition_ and _Wasted Wilds._ You can add _Wasted Wilds_ to the Legendary Box. The benefit of using these crates over the already excellent organisation that comes with the game is that you can lift these crates out on the table and they cards/tiles are less likely to fall over. This system works well if you store your boxes horizontally.
See [this post](https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/3038367/3d-printed-box-organizer-update) for additional discussion.
- As is, it won't take sleeved cards. However, you can make the box wider (in the slicer, or in Tinkercad) to accomodate sleeved cards. If you modify this and print successfully, please share back in comments or makes so others can learn.
- File Names: <Type>\_<Lenght>x<Width>x<Height>. Numbers are milimeters. There are two widths, the wide crates takes cards horizontally and works witht the dividers, the narrow crate takes tiles. There is a long version of the wide crate for _Legendary Edition,_ and a short version for _Wasted Wilds._
- For _Legendary Edition_ you need 2 each (4 total) of the long ones (150 long): One wide for apocalypses, one wide for survivors. One narrow for tiles, and one narrow for dials, scavenge cards, dice, standies, etc.
- For _Wasted Wilds_ you can print 3 of the the short wide ones (97x95x41). One for survivors, one for all other cards, and one for the tiles and dials. You will have to store some cards and tiles in the trays, as described in the box organizer that comes with the game.
- If you want to combine the boxes, you can go with two long&wide (190x95), two short&wide (97x95), and 2 long&narrow (150x69). That allows you to store the tiles for _Wasted Wilds_ separately from the _Legendary_ ones. See [this post](https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2919678/how-fit-all-wasted-wilds-content-legendary-edition) by the designer on how to combine _Wasted Wilds_ and _Legendary._ Also look at [this post](https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/3033625/combining-contents-original-maximum-apocalypse-or).
You will have to reduce the height of the crates in your slicer by 1mm to fit everything comfortable, as discussed in [this post](https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/3038367/3d-printed-box-organizer-update). I don't upload designs I didn't print, and I am not going to reprint everything again :-(
Your options are
1. Do it like pictured, and the box doesn't fully close (about 2mm, see picture).
2. Do it without the crate covers. This creates a bit more flex and maybe minimal damage to divider cards
3. Remove the _Legendary_ rule books (which are mostly redundant).
4. Shrink my crates by about 1mm height (base and lid). I haven't tested that so won't post shorter files. I would try this but I don't feel like printing everything again :-)
- Spawns can hold the monster spawn deck if you play with the deck instead of the dice.
- Print the same crate as a cover if you want a cover to protect content (e.g. dividers) them from above.
- Everything prints on a 150mmx150mm printer.
This is work in progress. I am printing and testing everything as we play, and some of the pictures may show older versions. All designs were made in (free) Tinkercad. You should be able to find each model [there](https://www.tinkercad.com/dashboard?collection=projects&id=eExkD2iCk6x), if you want to tinker one.
