What changed: Resized and set the lip to two walls instead of a single wall. 4 variants made: • Two hexagon versions • Closed bottom. • Open bottom. • Round open bottom for the circular tokens- tightened up the capsule top to get a better fit. • Square open bottom for the single square token.

Designer's Description

My tiles showed some early damage after a few plays. Decided to try these rather than an irreversible fix (like super glue or mod podge).

They hold together with friction well; you may need to do some trial and error to get good fit. I'd suggest printing one or two of each before printing a huge batch. The hex protector tops can be delicate to print. I had better luck with dry filament than one the first roll I started with (the walls are thin).

  • 50 Hex protectors for the land and monster tiles (I used the closed bottom tiles for these, but you could use the open just as well).
  • 2 Hex protectors with the open bottom for the ship tiles (these are two sided).
  • 22 Round protectors
  • 1 Square protector.

These double the thickness of the tiles, but everything still fits in the box. I designed an insert to accommodate the resulting bulkier tiles

, along with a player dashboard here.
