Designer's Description
TAK Board Game - Bookcase Edition

TAK Board Game - Bookcase Edition is a two-player abstract strategy game where players attempt to make a road of their pieces connecting two opposite sides of the board. To win a game of TAK , a player must be the first to create a “road” of stones connecting opposite sides of the board.

Stones can be laid flat or stood on end. When played flat other “flat stones” can be stacked on them. If they are stood on end, as “standing stones”, nothing can be stacked atop these wall stones.

GAME COMPONENTS

The TAK Board Game - Bookcase Edition set includes an elegant 5x5 grid board, elevated with feet, 21 white and 21 black “stone” game pieces, 1 white and 1 black “cap” game piece, and a Bookcase Edition storage box.

BOOKCASE EDITION BOX

The TAK Board Game - Bookcase Edition game includes a Bookcase Edition box with a slide top. This bookcase edition box can be stored on a shelf with your other matching bookcase edition games. The box includes storage areas for the all the game parts and playing board.

INFORMATION & ASSEMBLY

All parts were printed with PLA filament, matt or flat colored PLA filaments work best for bookcase edition games. I use a textured plate for adhesion. Some parts will need to be superglued, for example, the book spine is glued to the square cornered side of the bookcase box.

A small drop of printer oil on the edges of the box lid will help with the slide into the box top.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I've turned off the prime tower in order to upload the model but turning it on (if it will fit on your plate) will help the quality of your prints.

The TAK board requires some minimal assembly:

1. Superglue the four Board Legs into the holes on the “narrow” (smaller) side of the Board Trim . The Board Legs will slightly protrude through the Board Trim.

2. Align the protruding pins from the legs of the Board Trim Assembly to the bottom of the Playing Board and superglue.
