Travel Dominoes in Hinged Box

This is my interpretation of a travel-sized, 28 piece (double-six) domino set, perfect for playing on the go. Designed wholly in Tinkercad. The hinged lid of the box is secured with magnets, and contains a set of dominoes which look amazing in a rock, stone, or marble style PETG. The pip divider doesn't go through the whole depth of the domino, so you won't get your double zero mixed up, and the pips are just deep enough to not reveal their value to the other player when the light hits them, but still to have that carved stone look! I like to play Block Dominoes, and depending on who I'm playing we'll normally start with first to 50 points, and then up to 100 points. Unless I lose to my kids and go off in a huff…!

To complete the box, you will also need:

• 4 no. 4x2mm round magnets
• 2 no. 8mm 180 degree hidden/invisible barrel hinges

The cheapest place I found for the barrel hinges was AliExpress (I already had them for a different project), but look around, you might be able to source them cheaper locally.

To assemble:

• Insert the 4 round magnets in the 4mm wide holes with a dab of super glue and push them in to make sure they are secure. Don't forget to swap the polarity for the box and the lid, otherwise it won't ever shut.
• Once the magnets are secure and the glue is set, install the hinges. They don't need adhesive, they are a push fit. Doesn't really matter if you start them in the lid or box first, but make sure you've got the orientation right, and check the are dead perpendicular to the edge before pushing all the way home. Do the same with the lid or box, whatever you're left with.
• Put the bones in the box. And play!
