A Feast for Odin + The Norwegians organizers
Organizers for [A Feast for Odin](https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/177736/a-feast-for-odin) base board game + [The Norwegians](https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgameexpansion/216788/a-feast-for-odin-the-norwegians) expansion. Quick game set up and comfort during the play. Sliding lids prevent components from falling out during the storage. Theme cutouts decorate lids.
Only the base game box is required to contain this organizers set. Sleeved cards were taken into account in this design.
The Norwegians expansion provides remastered set of main boards, so I've decided to loose the old ones and save some space in the game box. I also got rid of oval boards and small supply board for ships. Instead, I provide comfortable trays for special tiles and a useful Ship organizer. All 11 island tiles available in the base game, The Norwegians and mini expansions are taken into account (though, I am missing one). The Harvest mini expansion is included too.
There are many components in various sizes in this board game. The box is big, but it's not easy to accommodate so different pieces in a simple way. Organizers are restricted by size and amount of contained components - thus, they have different sizes. They are adjusted well to the space offered by the game box, but there's only one way to store them properly. Packing solution is shown step by step in photos and in the .pdf file attached in the collective .zip file. As always in my designs, comfort during the play is prioritized over nice stuffing the game box. All types of resources are accommodated in twin organizers that can be placed on 2 sides of the table - thus, all players can reach at ease for: tiles, coins, building materials and cards.
The set contains: 2 Tetris organizers (for Goods and Animal tiles), Resources organizer + Cash High Value organizer, Card organizer, 2 Special tile trays, Ship organizer, Meeple organizer, Card ABC organizer, 4 3 2 VP container, Hut container, Mountain strip container and Harvest organizer.
1. **TETRIS ORGANIZERS**: Goods and Animal tiles are accommodated in 2 comfortable organizers. **Tetris A** contains smaller tiles and it's shorter, **Tetris B** contains larger tiles and it's taller. They both have the same width so they can be kept next to each other in line by the Action boards. Smaller tiles are kept in sections with rounded floor and taller ones occupy sections with sloped back/partition walls to facilitate the draw. Sections for taller tiles are narrow enough to prevent components from sliding down and making them difficult to take out. Also, taller tiles have additional separate sections to keep green and blue side at front. There are indentations to facilitate the draw and to reveal pictures as best as possible the same time. Still, you may want to arrange blue tiles so the sword value is at the top.
2. **RESOURCES ORGANIZERS**: Wooden resource markers and coins are accommodated in 2 accompanying organizers. The main Resources organizer accommodates most of them. I had to relocate 4 and 10 value coins into a separate organizer so they all fit the game box well. Each type of resources is kept separately. The floor is rounded only in sections for coins of smaller values. *Too limited space in the game box to achieve my standards. Still, the organizer is quite comfortable and there are 2 of them to be placed within the reach of all players, as I mentioned before.*
3. **CARD ORGANIZER**: It's a 3 deck tray where Occupation cards are distributed in 2 side sections and Weapon cards are kept in the middle. This way I managed to fit 2 of such Card organizers into the game box and all players can draw cards at ease during the play. The default organizer has a sloped floor that is a better fit for plain cards. *There is an optional tray for sleeved cards - it has a flat floor so a thicker decks can fit well. Both types have the same external dimensions so the same lid fits and they occupy the same volume inside the game box.*
4. **SPECIAL TILE TRAYS**: There are 2 Special tile trays: **L** (Large) for more valuable tiles, **S** (Small) for tile <9 sword value (there's a large carving in the tray to remind it). Trays have the same width so they fit placed next to each other. Recesses are properly adjusted to tiles of different sizes. Indentations facilitate taking tile out. *As I mentioned before, these trays serve to display all special tiles and none oval board is required.*
5. **SHIP ORGANIZER**: 3 types of Ships + Small Emigration tiles are accommodated here. Sections are adjusted to the size and the number of tiles. It serves well as a substitute of slippery stacks placed on the Small supply board. As the VP value of each ship is equal to its price (+ it's pictured in tiles), the board is not necessary imo. *(So I didn't save the space for it in the game box).*
6. **CARD ABC ORGANIZER**: Starting Occupation cards are kept here. **Card Divider** separates A, B and C decks. There is also a section where dice, 1st player marker and round marker are stored. Another section accommodates **4 3 2 VP container**. Unfortunately, it's just a very simple container where 4, 3 and 2 VP tokens are kept all together. The shape of ABC organizer is adjusted to the stored components and the space in the game box. *The optional container has a little deeper section for cards so a thicker deck fits better.*
7. **HARVEST ORGANIZER**: Components of the Harvest mini expansion are accommodated here and divided into separate sections. Rounded bottom facilitates the draw.
8. **MEEPLE ORGANIZER**: There is a small box for each player where 12 vikings in 2 rows are accommodated. Indentations facilitate taking meeples out. There are 4 lids with different reliefs to distinguish. I also used corresponding colors of filaments in prints.
9. **HUT CONTAINER**: A simple container for all Building tiles: Sheds, Stone Houses, Long Houses and Artisan Sheds. Different types are separated by **Hut Dividers**. This simple container doesn't have a lid.
10. **MOUNTAIN STRIP CONTAINER**: Another simple container with no lid. This time to store Mountain strips. The elongation on one side allows to keep there an extra strip from The Norwegians expansion. There is also a slot for -3VP tokens (Thing penalties).

Most of organizers are covered with sliding lids. In some cases plug-in lids were more suitable (Cash High Value, Ships). Both types work very well. A few containers don't have any lid as there was not enough space in the game box and in their cases it wasn't crucial imo (Huts, Mountain strips - they won't fall out anyway; Special tile trays - they are presses with many organizers above, so they should be safe).
