Designer's Description

This is a remix of Shem Phillip's original Raiders of Scythia game insert on Thingiverse. (Phillips is the founder of Garphill Games and the designer of this game, so it's pretty cool that he created an insert to begin with.)

The two primary changes I made to this model are:

  • I made it multicolor : the three colors print in layers with pauses added to help those without AMS to change filaments. (If you have AMS, the printer will just use that as normal and print without pauses.) There are only 4 filament changes total. For my prints, I chose to use Bambu Basic Maroon Red & Basic Cocoa Brown & Matte Desert Tan because I thought those colors were a great match to the game.
  • I added text to the trays to remind you of what pieces go where on the off chance you forget.

The advantages of this model are:

  • Everything fits, and it's easy to box and unbox, so the game gets on the table. There is no lid lift.
  • The trays can be set on the table to use during the game.
  • It includes a cool Garphill graphic on the worker tray, which is something Phillips added in.

Note: I've included photos of the previews of each plate so you know exactly what it will look like printed. In the prepare mode, all the pieces look red because that is the color of their bottom layer.
