Aggravation Marbles Board Game
Here is a board game. I have included a "Dice" model, and a "Marble" model in case you don't have any. I cannot guarantee how they will print. This is my own design of an old wooden board my grandpa used to have. I have fond memories of this game when I was a kid.
__Note__
- Meant to be 400mm, you can shrink it to fit whatever size you need.
- If you want to split it, just use the quarter piece included and duplicate it until you have 4 of them, putting them together requires glue.
__Setup__
- Each person gets 4 marbles. They place them in their colored "Home" spots. See image.
- Roll for who goes first, highest roll goes first, play clockwise.
__How to play__
- Take turns rolling, the only way you can take a marble from the Starting area and place a marble on the board, is to roll a 1 or a 6.
- If you roll a 1, then place your piece on the starting position. See image.
- If you roll a 6, you place your piece on the staring position, but you get to roll again. Move your marble the number of spots that you rolled.
- If you roll three 6's in a row, you have to take your piece off the board and place it back in the tray until you roll a 1 or 6 again. If you have multiple marbles on the board, you have to remove the one closest to "Home"
- The first person to get all marbles "Home" wins.
- When a player rolls, they can choose any of their marbles to move, as long as there is a valid spot that it can be moved to. You cannot jump or pass over your marbles, you can only jump opponents marbles.
__Notes__
- You cannot jump your own marbles, but can jump other players marbles. So if you have two marbles right next to each other, it doesn't matter what you roll, only the marble in "front" can be moved because the rearward marble cannot jump over or occupy the same spot as a marble on the same team.
- If your roll puts your marble on top of another player's marble in the same spot, their marble gets kicked off the board and has to start over.
- The center spot is a shortcut, but there are caveats
- You do NOT have to use the shortcut, you can choose to go the long way around the board.
- - You only have one shot to make it in the center shortcut each time you place a marble from the Starting area on the board. You can only enter the shortcut by rolling the exact number of spots that it takes to land on it, and ONLY from the initial starting row. For example, if you rolled a 6, and placed your marble on the start, and then rolled another 6, that is exactly the number of spots needed to place your marble in the shortcut. Another example, if you rolled a 4 from the initial placement on the board, you would need to roll a 2 to make it into the shortcut/center.
- - The only way to get out of the center shortcut is to roll a 1.
- - When you do roll a 1 to get out, the marble is placed on the nearest spot that is in line with the "Starting" area. See image for the shortcut path that your marble must take. You cannot exit any other way. Each players entry and exit will be different.
- - If your marble is in the shortcut and someone else rolls the exact number to get in to the shortcut too, they can choose to kick your marble. If roles are reversed you can do the same.
__Enjoy!__
