An imposing cube tower inspired by the Barad-dûr tower from "The Lord of the Rings", complete with the flaming eye of Sauron at the top.
The tower is not only an eye-catcher on any gaming table, but also fully functional – cubes roll down inside and land safely in the drip tray.
Hiring Recommendation
Material PLA or PETG (black recommended for the tower, red/yellow for the eye)
Layer height 0.2 mm or smaller for more details
Wall thickness 2 - 3 walls
Infill 10-15% (gyroid or crosshatch)
Top-/Bottom Layers 5 / 3
Support Only for overhangs (eye and upper battlements with tree supports)
Build Plate Adhesion Skirt or Brim (optional for small parts)
Tested on:
- Bambu Lab X1C / H2D
- The tower segments can be printed and plugged or glued in a modular way.
- The eye can be fixed to the tower.
- The cube rolls reliably through the central shaft to the drip tray.
- For best appearance: After printing, spray lightly with matt clear varnish.

Ein imposanter Würfelturm inspiriert vom Turm Barad-dûr aus „Der Herr der Ringe“ , komplett mit dem flammenden Auge von Sauron an der Spitze.
Der Turm ist nicht nur ein Blickfang auf jedem Spieletisch, sondern auch voll funktionsfähig – Würfel rollen im Inneren nach unten und landen sicher in der Auffangschale.
Einstellung Empfehlung
Material PLA oder PETG (schwarz empfohlen für den Turm, rot/gelb für das Auge)
Schichthöhe 0,2 mm oder kleiner für mehr Details
Wandstärke 2 - 3 Wände
Infill 10–15 % (Gyroid oder Kreuzschraffur)
Top-/Bottom Layers 5 / 3
Support Nur bei Überhängen (Auge und obere Zinnen mit Baumstützen)

Getestet auf:
- Bambu Lab X1C / H2D
- Die Turmsegmente können modular gedruckt und gesteckt oder verklebt werden.
- Das Auge lässt sich am Turm fixieren.
- Der Würfel rollt zuverlässig durch den zentralen Schacht bis in die Auffangschale.
- Für beste Optik: Nach dem Druck leicht mit mattem Klarlack besprühen.
