Designer's Description

The standard board that came with my Scrabble set is annoying because it wouldn't lay flat on a table.

This board is:

  • always flat
  • has grooves that don't let letters escape easily
  • compatible with the standard 20mm Scrabble pieces
  • printable on small printers like A1
  • AMS-agnostic, as in can be printed with or without AMS
  • when printed without AMS there are only 2 filament changes per piece
If you want to print without AMS, follow these instructions to make the printer pause before filament change

Go to filament profile, click (...) button next to filament selector. Edit -> Advanced -> Filament start G-Code. Add one command at the end:

M400 U1

Save this profile to something like “Generic PLA AUTOPAUSE”. Use this profile for both colours.

This will pause every time before the next filament is needed. During the pause on the printer go to Filament -> Unload, change filament, then Load.
