Designer's Description

Partial organiser for the board game Dune: Imperium Uprising. Should also work for the base game. I do not own it but the main game pieces coincide. The main goal for this project was to speed up the setup and storage of game pieces, i.e. handing out components for each player and setting up the currencies. With this setup each player gets handed one box which holds all coloured pieces and a starting hand.

At the moment it only includes the following:

  • 4 separate boxes to be handed out to each player which include all necessary tokens of one colour and the starting hand
  • a box for solari storage
  • a box for spice storage
  • a box for water storage
  • a box for storage of extra components (such as the cardboard parts, the wooden worms and additional space)

Consequently, the cards of the game (imperial row, intrigues etc.) are not stored with the provided files. Instead I used deckboxes which came with the sleeves I bought. The leader cards are also not stored in the boxes and remain in the game box itself (see last image). The design is modeled such that the initial insert of the box can be left in place. The idea is to have some wiggle room when it comes to further expansions, to adapt around the existing design. At that point, the cardboard insert of the original packaging will most like be removed.

The plastic worms, the rise of ix components and the 6-player components remain stored loosely in the box.

A small adjustment to the initial insert of the game has do be made (see the last image). To store everything nicely the initial insert has to be cut a bit and folded to enlarge the wider insert row to make more space for the card holder.

Included is a set of game card holders, for more information on them see my other upload . The 5 pieces can be stored in the setup as well. Three fit into the extras box, two have to be stored in the game box (see picture 4).

The boxes in the images slightly differ from the uploaded ones. I experimented with inserting magnets but the box cover were tight enough to remain closed without the need for magnets so I removed the space from the uploaded version.
