In The Hall of the Mountain King Deluxe Upgrades

These are the Deluxe Upgrades for the “In the Hall of the Mountain King” board game that I made based on the original pieces. After a long time of not beign able to get the original ones I decided to make them myself.

The Pedestals have a separate peg that can be glued to the bottom so that they can be placed in the holes the tiles from the game have.

I made the statues print without supports but the fire and moon statues have “ears” that do need supports so I made custom supports like the ones on the coin, hammer and cart, I also made it 100% infill on the first layers so that they don't topple over easily.

The coins, carts and hammers are printed with a 0.08mm layer height to look better and they have custom supports that are resin supports but they are set up specifically for FDM printing, they support the pieces and they remove easily without damage to the piece, since they are touching the piece all the material for the model stays where it should be, sometimes the supports leave the tip on the model but thats extra material that can be removed with some flush cutters and any white spots left in the piece from breaking the supports can be removed with a flame.

I also reduced the temperature for the filament because the custom supports make the nozzle do a lot of jumps to leave tiny amounts of filament and that was causing a lot of stringing, reducing the temperature fixed it but results might vary depending on the filament.

All the pieces are printed in a single color but the Crystal Veins I designed to be printed in two colors, I made it so that it only needs one color change at a layer so I made a separate plate that has a pause so that you can do the color change manually if you don't own an AMS.
