In the in-between, I like to set up retreats for board game designers, arrange board game design competitions, and host open board game nights in my local community. I've even previously managed an online board game store out of my city apartment, as a passion project, delivering board games on my bicycle to customers in my home town. In short: I wholeheartedly love the board game community ❤️ Since being inspired by having a bad experience with a board game in the early 2010's, I've been designing board games ever since, hoping to bring smiles and warm, meaningful interactions between people all over the world through board gaming. This is what motivates me to design games. ___________________________ 🗨️ MY WEIRD DANISH NAME 🗨️ ___________________________ I’m nowadays somewhat often asked how my name is pronounced, so here’s a helpful guide. But also please know that I’m totally okay with mispronunciations of all sorts - I'm sure I can tell it's my name you are saying, and that's all that matters :) First name: Mads The ‘d’ is silent. It's pronounced like the ‘mas’ in “mascot”, "mascarpone" or “masculine”. Last name: Fløe It’s easiest to start with the word “flirt”, and then spell it like it’s pronounced, so “fleaurt”, then take away ‘rt’ at the end, leaving just “fleau”.
