her parents and grandparents. Though she played mainstream games for years her introduction to hobby games was decades later. Her first game design was a card game she created for a good friend’s birthday. She printed only a dozen copies and gave them away to close friends. Her next game design, Apistocracy, is in the final stages of development. She is both game designer and artist for the game. Apistocracy is a Eurogame that includes an integrated trick taking game at the conclusion. The unique trick taking addition is inspired by her start in games playing cards around the family table. She is a theme first designer and loves the process of finding the right game mechanics to bring the theme to life. The process of creating original art to further bring the theme to life is another integral part of her design process.
