Willem Cornelisz Duyster

Dutch painter (b. 1599, Amsterdam, d. 1635, Amsterdam), Duyster's most famous painting is probably "Card-playing Soldiers." He also painted "Officers Playing Backgammon." One of his paintings, "Two Men playing Tric-trac, with a Woman scoring," is featured on the cover of 3M's Backgammon. Duyster died of the plague.
