Paul Sottosanti
Paul Sottosanti's first foray into game design was an unofficial expansion for the classic board game Titan at the age of 12. expansions: Betrayers of Kamigawa, Ravnica, Planar Chaos, Lorwyn, and Morningtide. He strongly contributed to the Tribal mechanic and the unique aspects of each of the races in Lorwyn, and as the lead designer of Morningtide he came up with the idea for that set to focus on classes instead. He also contributed playtesting to several Avalon Hill offerings and designed all of the courses included in the 2005 release of RoboRally. Following that, he moved into the digital realm and was the lead designer for Magic: the Gathering ArtFight and Dungeons & Dragons: Tiny Adventures on Facebook. After five years at Wizards he transitioned to Maxis and was the systems designer and eventually lead designer for the sci-fi action RPG Darkspore. Following that he moved to Riot Games where he designed both the current ranking system and the directed camera (automated camera system for the spectator mode) for League of Legends, then moved to focusing on R&D projects. He led the design for Expeditions, the drafting format for Legends of Runeterra, and was the lead designer for the Worldwalker expansion, as well as designing several other champions who were released later such as Poro King. In his spare time, he is always tinkering on a variety of board game designs, many of which he hopes to have published in the coming years.
