Claus Bergen

Claus Bergen (April 18, 1885 - October 4, 1964) was a Stuttgart-born nautical artist who was appointed Marine Painter to Kaiser Wilhelm II in 1914. He was the son of artist Fritz Bergen. Many ship commanders asked him to do paintings of their ships. Before he died he donated one of his Atlantic paintings to President Kennedy.
