H. G. Wells

Herbert George Wells (1866 - 1946). Prolific writer of novels, some with very original ideas and earning him the name of "The Father of Science Fiction". He wrote two books detailing rules for playing a proper game with toy soldiers, the first was Floor Wars (published in 1911) and then his ideas developed and expanded so he wrote Little Wars in 1913.
