2013. In 2006, Rick bought the ownership of Eagle Games, and started Gryphon Games. FRED Distribution, Inc. is the legal entity which owns Eagle-Gryphon Games (EGG), so named in 2008 when the two game lines were merged. EGG has published over 250 games since 2006, currently including several titles by Vital Lacerda which are currently (2020) in the top 100 of all-time games on BGG, including The Gallerist, Vinhos, Lisboa, Escape Plan, On Mars, Kanban EV, and the upcoming Mercado de Lisboa and Surviving Mars. EGG has also been the original publisher of the entire Railways of the World series; Age of Steam Deluxe;Rococo Deluxe; and the Defenders of the Realm series (by Richard Launius); the Gryphon Bookshelf Series (24 titles and counting); and the EGG series (15 titles and counting). EGG has published 15 games by Reiner Knizia; 10 by Sid Sackson (and generally has the rights to publish most all of Sid Sackson's games -- including Can't Stop; I'm the Boss, Sleuth and Bazaar); several by Martin Wallace (including Brass and Struggle of Empires); and the designs of various other excellent games designers such as Alan R. Moon (Incan Gold and Wizard's Brew), Mike Fitzgerald (Mystery Rummy and Baseball & Football Highlights; Alf Seegert (Fantastiqa and Musee); Bruno Faidutti (Incan Gold and Stolen Paintings); Tom Lehmann (Roll Through the Ages and The City); Stefan Dorra (For Sale & Sluff Off); Matt Leacock (Roll Through the Ages); and Matt Riddle and Ben Pinchback (The Fleet series of games). Rick has co-designed numerous games (including Sixes, Charon and Railways Express) and edited hundreds of others.
