City Productions has 133 free print-and-play games. Almost all of the free games released by Invisible City Productions were designed by Jonathan and most of them are indexed on BoardGameGeek. In 2010, he co-published Inevitable, a dystopian board game set in a future not much bleaker than our own, along with Jeremy Bushnell. Inevitable is notable for being the first successful board game on Kickstarter (Oooh! Fancy!). In 2009, Jonathan approached publishers with some of his more popular and unreleased designs. This yielded two commercial releases: The Isle of Doctor Necreaux (A 2010 Silver Origins award winner!) and Pressure Matrix. In 2016, WizKids published Blank White Dice, one of Jonathan's favorite designs. In 2018, Desirée (his wife) and Jonathan self-published The Island of Doctor Necreaux: Second Edition. In 2022, Jonathan moved from Austin, Texas to Portage, MI (just south of Kalamazoo) with his sweetie, Desirée. They're very happy there with four cats (Cleo, Cole, Percy - a three-legged kitten they found abandoned while house-hunting), and Annabel (a kitten they got to keep Percy company). Aside from games and game design, Jonathan also enjoys making neat gadgets with microcontrollers and blinky lights (Like dueling magic wands – http://wand-ring.com), experimenting with AI gesture recognition and vision systems, cooking, and origami. Jonathan still does game design, meeting up with the Gamesmiths club on the second Friday of each month at Voss Media Board Game Cafe in Galesburg, MI and attending various Protospiel events in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Lately, he's been working on card-only designs and revisiting old unreleased designs. As of Sept 2026, he hopes to release a new batch of monthly games in mixed formats - possibly in collaboration with Shawn Storie and other designers. Jonathan worked at Steve Jackson Games as a Game Developer for about half a year. He's currently a project manager at a company that makes software for healthcare. He ran for Protospiel South (http://protospielsouth.com) for 5 years, now resurrected under new leadership as Protospiel ATX. Invisible City Productions' games are available at http://invisible-city.com/play.
