Jon Lonngren

director. He is co-creator of Fallen Land: A Post Apocalyptic Board Game and its first expansion, A Journey Into Darkness. In addition to his long hours at the studio, he works at the Surgical Neurological Intensive Care Unit, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He currently holds three degrees and is poised to embark on a journey to acquire a fourth, in mid 2018. As an alumnus of the University of Iowa, he graduated with honors in Political Science and International Relations, with a primary focus on Cold War Studies and the former Soviet Republics. He has also attended several other schools, including George Mason University in Fairfax Virginia and the Kazakh Institute of Management, Economics and Strategic Research, in Almaty. Jon is an Iowa native and grew up in University Heights, in Iowa City. Jon and his wife Wendy currently reside in Iowa City, with their sons Chase and Donovan, and their two voracious dachshunds, Albert and Beverly. In his spare time, he enjoys writing pulp fiction, playing tabletop and RPG games (rolling the bones since '78), and has a passion for cooking gourmet food for his family and friends.
