Napoleon's tragic Russian campaign of 1812. Having moved to and fro in the first 20 years of his life, Jason finally settled in Belgium in 1995. Starting in 2007 until 2014, he wrote a number of historical articles for the Armchair General Magazine and created online games and tournaments for its forums. In 2010 he started his own store: History Center Chronos where history books, historical magazines, historical clothing and historical boardgames could be purchased. The walhalla for the historians! In order to become more fluent with the pen, he studied journalism and in order to create his own art he also studied graphic design. Today he possesses all the ingredients in order to become an independent game designer: organisational skills, writing skills, an eye for art and of course a limitless imagination. Now all he needs is a little spare time to focus on historical game design...in order TO BRING THE PAST TO LIFE. Jason is addicted to coffee and is a passionate reader of history. He is a fan of Monthy Python and Indiana Jones. Music? A little bit of everything...but the great Ludwig Von Beethoven steals the cake and Angèle the heart ;-) "Nothing can be so thrilling as to be able to create a concept that is able to immerge the players in a specific historical period. Relive the history in order to learn it!" "Each of us has become of what we've learned from our past. We cannot progress as human being without our past, because then we will have learned nothing. Civilization follows this same basic rule. We cannot evolve further if we forget the lessons we've learned from history !!!!" Works Jason has published or has the great honor of having been part of: - Epic Battles Waterloo (aka Stratego Waterloo) (2015) - Lost in Time (2017) - Brainiac Memo (2018) for the City of Peer - Castellum Maastricht (2018) - iKNOW (2020) - Green Acres (2020) for the local farmer's association - The Year II (Historical detective) (2021) - 1793: Patriots & Traitors / 1795: The Thermidorians (2023) - An Illustrated History of 1793 (2023) Companion to 1793: Patriots and Traitors - Tarot: Fool's Faith (2023) for brewery Lindemans - Gooooal!!!
