William "Willie" Julius Champion Jr. (June 15, 1880 – February 12, 1972) is the inventor of Kalah, a game in the Mancala family. He was born in Trinidad, Colorado and was a graduate of Yale University. He invented the game in 1940, and was a promoter of the game including manufacturing game sets.
