George S. Parker

of three brothers. As a boy he was described as a passionate dreamer who loved to play and make up games. The family's favorite game was a game that he modified called Banking. The players borrow money from the bank and try to make money by guessing how well they could do. The game was so well-liked by his friends and brothers, that his older brother, Charles pushed him into publishing it when he was sixteen years-old. George Swinnerton Parker passed away in Boston, Massachusetts, on September 26, 1952, at the age of 86.
